  1. Always be med ready: Remember how excited Sheldon would get while visiting the pharmacy? Well, if you think about it, making sure that you have all important over the counter medications is quite wise. This can not only help you be medication ready but will also provide instant relief from issues. Being prepared with first aid can never be a bad idea.

Google is the worst doctor: Do you remember the time when Sheldon was experiencing stomach ache and discomfort and the internet suggested that he might have cholera, Hirschsprung’s disease, botulism, or accidental ingestion of Chrysanthemum blossom. All the suspected issues aside, we come to know that all Sheldon had to do was… fart. Yikes! This is a true depiction of how dramatic the internet can be and why Google is the worst doctor. When suffering from health-related discomfort, always rely on the diagnosis by a real doctor, not Google (or Reddit).
  3. Beat the blues with a hot beverage: Even if Sheldon didn’t like you, he’d offer you a hot beverage if you’re sad. Beverages like coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are rich in antioxidants, fibre, vitamin C, and various nutrients. These nutrients can have a soothing effect on the body which is also a reason why people prefer comfort beverages as a part of their relaxation time.
  4. Exergaming is the new cool: From getting drunk in Red Dead Redemption to having a dance face-off in Dance Dance Revolution, we witnessed multiple exergaming instances in The Big Bang Theory. Exergaming, in simple terms, combines the fun of video games with the goodness of indoor fitness. The show made us realize that exergaming is the new cool. Some studies have also shed light on the benefits of exergaming in promoting health and fitness.
