Swanage Town & Herston v Balti Sports: Team news and manager interview

Must read

BALTI Sports will adopt a “front-foot approach” at Swanage Town & Herston, manager Marco Nott has revealed.

Nott’s men reaped the rewards of an attacking display last time out as Poole Borough were thrashed 7-0.

And Nott is keen to keep that attacking momentum going at Days Park as Balti look to scale the Jewson Dorset Premier League title.

He told Echosport: “We’re looking to go for a front-foot approach now.

“We’ve got teams around us in the next few games so we’ve got to win if we can. A front-foot approach is the best way forward.

“We’re going to try and get at Swanage. Playing down there is always difficult. It’s a big pitch and it can get heavy at times with conditions.

“It’ll probably be a right battle. That win under our belts last Saturday hopefully took the shackles off a little bit and we can concentrate on looking up instead of down for the rest of the season.

“I don’t think we’ve had back-to-back wins all season so that would be fantastic, good for morale. Then we can look forward to Corfe the following week.”

Midfielder Charlie Kenderdine is expected to be available, but Balti will make a late call on striker Sanchez Baker.

Che Curran (work) and Ricky Lane could feature, but Jamie Rawlings and Carl McClements are unavailable. Sammy Nichols and Ethan Devaney are not expected to play.
